Falmouth man charged with newsagent robbery

A 26 year old Falmouth man has appeared before magistrates in Truro, charged with robbery after an incident at a newsagent in Acacia Road in the town on 5 January 2013.
Officers were called to the store at around 8.45pm after staff had been threatened and a large amount of cash had been stolen.
Following police enquiries, the man was arrested on 22 February 2013. He was then interviewed and charged with robbery and possession of a bladed instrument.
He was detained in custody before his appear at Truro Magistrates Court on Saturday 23 February 2013.
