By metjeffuk | Thursday, January 17, 2013, 13:03
It looks like we can downgrade the snow warnings for Friday in most of Cornwall I still expect some snow over high ground above say above 600ft but this should also turn back to sleet [ Bodmin moor] this is because the winds will from the south which is a mild direction even in this time of the year.
Warnings for next week }
there is a high probability of a severely cold weather next week. from Sunday onwards Maxima are predicted to be in low single figures with severe air and ground frosts at night. Strong easterly winds up to mid-week will produce significant wind chill and make it feel bitterly cold everywhere. Some showers or longer periods of snow are possible especially in the west and south where there may be some accumulations . and sub-zero temperatures may persist during daytime.
winter is not over it's just started.
