New guides encourage people to celebrate in Cornwall

Cornwall Registration Service is encouraging people from across the UK to celebrate their most special occasions in Cornwall with three new promotional guides.
The service is working in partnership with Penryn-based design and marketing agency Eight Wire to produce the guides, which will highlight offerings including civil partnership ceremonies, naming ceremonies and renewal of marriage vows ceremonies.
The guides will underline the advantages of holding such events in the county and showcase what Cornwall has to offer in relation to venues, catering, photographers and more. The new brochures, which will be fully funded by advertising, will compliment the existing Get Married in Cornwall guide which is available to download from www.cornwall.gov.uk/marriage.
Cornish businesses will have the opportunity to advertise in the new guides, which are to be distributed at relevant locations for each topic.
"Cornwall Registration Service Officers pride themselves in going the extra mile to make these special ceremonies perfect in every way," said Anne McSeveney of Cornwall Registration Service. "We have 11 Registration Offices and more than 140 Cornwall Council approved buildings in which to hold celebrations.
"Cornwall has a stunning choice of venues in which to celebrate these special occasions including beachside hotels, manor houses, castles and even an underground cavern."
The new guides are a "fabulous way to entice people to Cornwall to celebrate such key moments in their lives" said Eight Wire's art director Sara Pugh. "We're confident that these beautiful guides will play an important part in bringing people to the county to celebrate – and also for relevant Cornish businesses to reach people at that crucial moment when they are formulating their plans to celebrate here," she added.
Advertising in the guides is now available. Contact Michele at 01326 254981 or email email@example.com to find out more. Alternatively visit www.celebrateincornwall.co.uk to book your advertising online.
The guides will be distributed from March 2012.
