Cornwall Council want your views on waste collection in the county.

A few weeks ago we reported that Cornwall Council had voted to change the way Falmouth’s rubbish is collected. Now the council want to get your views on the proposed changes.

Option A would see food and non-recyclable waste to be collected weekly and dry recycling and garden waste to be collected fortnightly. Option B would see food waste and dry recycling to be collected weekly and non recyclable and garden waste collected fortnightly.

You can click here to read more about the proposed changes and to vote for your favourite option. Voting closes on the 14th May and the new collections will start at the end of the year.

Which one will you be voting for? Does the current system need to be changed? Let us know in the comments.

I think Option B has to be the best. If we're to recycle as much as we can then surely the bulk of our rubbish will be recycling. Makes sense for that to be collected more often.
