I live on the North Coast and remember the good old days when dogs could go on the beach all year round. But, as you say, at least we can still take our dogs on all the beaches in the evening.
While I understand your frustration, the trouble with big government - national and local - is that some pen-pusher will also spot this anomaly and just ban dogs at all times from all beaches in the summer.
It does seem to me that the old NCDC generally made much more sensible decisions than some of the other area councils in Cornwall. And where are all decisions taken now? Need I say more?
