Supply Imaging Limited wonders what interest there would be in a hydrophone bouy moored off Pendennis headland that could be listened to on the internet? It would allow people to hear passing ships, dolphins and whales. It would also have cameras on board both above and below the water and a weather station.
The project would be locally designed and built and linked with the University and Maritime Museum, with cooperation from the Harbour Office and Coastguard. Also A & P and Pendennis Superyachts could be involved. The technology is not too complex and it may provide data about Basking sharks and Dolphin strandings. A similar project operates off California tinyurl.com/ch8ruj
