This is quite bizarre - it makes sense to regulate powered crafts but surfboards? Canoes? Not only would it put off tourists and amateurs but the knock-on effect will be felt by businesses such as surf schools in Cornwall. I think there will be major uproar if this is pushed through. Any watersports enthusiasts want to give their opinion? I'm sure you will have plenty to say on the matter!

my husband is a local fisherman and also has been on bigger boats, trawlers, and its unbeleivable how ignorant people are about the law of the sea, comming into falmouth yaughts seem to think they own the water , my husband had to take many exams to get a skippers certificate, but moat people just buy a boat or yaught or dingy and go uot in them and endup being rescued, everyone should have to have a license like we have to , to be on the road .!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
