I read in Cornish World Magazine that around the port of Falmouth the nickname 'Falmouth Trollops' arose during the late 18th Century because of the 'questionable' morals of the local women! What do you think of that?!

    Rumors... can't avoid them. Nottingham's population used to have the reputation of consisting of seven women per man, from back in the days when there used to be many textile factories there. Good thing we modern people are more skeptical.
