What do you think of the possibility of a Rick Stein restaurant in Falmouth? Will it bring jobs and money to the town or just create overcrowding problems of Padstow proportions in the summer?

Reportgreat , will bring employment for locals, all his shops do really well, and people may start to eat more fish, which will help to support local and all fishermen.

ReportI think it will benefit the Cornish community- as said above; it will create more jobs for the locals, and that end of the town will be a lot more buzzing!

It certainly can't do any harm! The events square struggles for long periods of time to attract the public and get them to that part of the town so, a name like Rick Stein will hopefully give a few more the incentive to visit that end of Falmouth all year round!
At first I felt concerned for Harbour lights, the other fish and chip restaurant literally a couple of minutes away but, I think they will actually benefit overall from Rick being nearby. They could certainly compete on price if Padstow is anything to go by.
Who is actually responsible for attracting the celebrity to this location anyway and when
IS he moving in. This has been local gossip for some time now!
