Falmouth's Christmas events unveiled

This year’s late night shopping dates and other festive celebrations have been unveiled by the Falmouth Business Improvement District. The highlights include 4 nights of late shopping, a few parades and, as we mentioned earlier in the week, hundreds of Santas running through town.
Late night shopping will run every Thursday in December. The first night (the 2nd) also happens to be the night of the Christmas lights switch-on where Falmouth’s main shopping area will be lit up by a canopy of 50,000 LED bulbs.
The switch on will happen after primary school children from the area parade from Events Square to the Moor where Falmouth School Jazz Band will play some jazzy festive favourites.
Other highlights leading up to Christmas include a German Christmas Night. It all goes down on Friday the 10th at 7pm on the Moor. The best part is, it’s free to get in!
On Thurday 16th (which happens to be a late shopping night) Falmouth will see Widow Twanky et al. march through the town for this years Panto themed Christmas Parade. If you’d like to join in you can, the cavalcade meets at the top of the Old High Street at 6pm and finishes at Events Square. If you’d like a bit more info the call (01326) 212895.
Finally, at 10pm on Christmas Eve choirs from across the county will gather in Falmouth to sing carols through the streets.

ReportIt all sounds lovely, I'm starting to feel a bit Christmassy now so things like this just add to the excitement. Love the sound of the German Christmas Night and the carols in the street!
