    A DEMENTIA action day is being hosted by Home Instead Senior Care, which provides at-home care for older people, at the Dracaena Centre, Falmouth, on Thursday from 10am until 4pm. Held in conjunction with the Beacon Community Regeneration Project and the Dracaena Centre, it is an informal drop-in session for people to find out more about dealing with dementia and to talk to helpful organisations.

    AN ELDERLY driver had a lucky escape after his vehicle rolled down a bank and smashed into a Falmouth post office. Ted Pentecost, founder of Falmouth Watersports Centre and Falmouth Gig Club, had to be released from his upturned car at Boslowick by firefighters on Sunday morning.
