Police appeal for witnesses to robbery in grounds of Kings Charles Church, Falmouth

Police want to trace a couple who may have witnessed a robbery in the grounds of a Falmouth church.
The incident happened between 11am and 11.30am on Monday, February 1 at King Charles Church in Church Street.
Officers say a female was assaulted and had her handbag stolen.
The offender was seen in the church entrance prior to the assault and ran off in the direction of New Street after the incident.
Police have recovered her handbag and the victim was taken home by a male and female whom it is believed witnessed part of the incident.
Police are appealing for this couple and for any other witnesses who may have seen the offender to contact them on 08452 777 444 quoting reference GP/10/246.
She is described as a young female with dark hair wearing a grey or light coloured top with a hood and carrying a cream shopping bag.
