An Udderly Brilliant Competition To Amooose The Whole Family!

You can't have failed to notice the parade of brightly coloured (and generally rather fabulous) life-sized cows that appeared around Cornwall over the summer, a wonderful celebration of Cornish creativity capturing the essence of the Duchy. Sadly the cows are now gone, but their spirit lives on via a brilliant competition dreamed up by Hall for Cornwall and the Jack's Cows Project (responsible for the cow parade) and Inhabit of Truro.
Inhabit have created a limited edition 'Create Your Own Sock Cow' kit to go with their already hugely popular owl, monkey, bear, frog, socktopus and socktosaurus kits, which is available from the Truro shop or from their online store priced at just £5.99. From each sale a contribution of 50p will be donated to HfC's 'Loved To Bits' campaign which helps with repairs and renewals at the theatre.
Once you have your kit, all you have to do is create your sock cow! Make it as imaginative, silly, funny, scary, or bizarre as you like, and then either take your finished creature to the store or take a photo and email it to Inhabit via the website (link above).
There are three categories in the competition - under 16 yr olds, 16 - 25 yr olds, and 26+ yr olds - so there's a chance for everyone to get involved, maybe you could even get the whole family working together! Prizes include tickets to HfC shows, up to £75 to spend in Inhabit, a £40 voucher for Pizza Express Truro and a mid-week break including dinner at the new Scarlet Hotel at Mawgan Porth.
All entries must be in by the 30th November - please feel free to post pictures of your own efforts on Falmouth People after the competition!
