Why I like Falmouth

Falmouth is my mother's home town and I spent many happy holidays here as a child before finally moving from London at the age of 14. It always had a magical quality for me and I love the harbour and surrounding countryside. It still retains many of the qualities which attracted me as a child although sadly these are being steadily eroded and destroyed in the name of "progress".

Why I don't like Falmouth

I may be a dinosaur but I see so-called development as devastation and a lot of recent "deveopments" have done nothing to enhance the character of the best town in the world. On the contrary the only motivation behind them seems to be to line the pockets of self-seeking speculators.
