Beach clean and surf

ON THURSDAY, March 24, some Year 10 outdoor education pupils from Mounts Bay School were involved in a beach cleaning and surfing project with two students from Falmouth Marine School. The MBS pupils had an introductory lecture from the FMS students about the harms of sea litter and how it can be reduced.
They spent an hour doing a beach clean on Marazion beach. Twelve bin bags of litter were collected. In return for their efforts they were rewarded with a coached surfing session at Godrevey, again led by Falmouth Marine School.
