THIRTEEN Cornwall College students have been accepted by the national Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Network as ambassadors.
The group, from Cornwall College campuses at Newquay, Camborne and Falmouth Marine School, already serve as college ambassadors working in schools to encourage young people to continue in education beyond 16.
The programme, supported by Lord Professor Robert Winston, is specifically designed to encourage young people to continue their interest in STEM subjects by delivering interesting and inspiring practical workshops in schools.
Principal Dave Linnell, said: “It is important that we look to the future and give young people every encouragement possible to inspire and motivate them to study these subjects beyond school.”
