Land Rover rebuild

Here at Steve Toyer Land Rovers Ltd based in Penryn, the time has come to start the process of rebuilding the Land Rover Series One. Its original chassis is back from being galavanised and looking like new, the engine has been rebuilt with hardened valves seats to cope with modern fuels. The road springs have been stripped and greased up, then wrapped in denso tape for lasting protection. To be continued!!!

Falmouth Coastguard will remain open 24 hours a day it has been announced. Pressure from campaigners have forced the government to make a u-turn on plans that would have seen operating hours cut at the Falmouth Coastguard station. The good news was announced in parliament this afternoon. Brixham Coastguard will close however. Fishermen and campaigners have said that this will put lives at risk.

A teenage girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car. The incident happened at around 10:35 this morning (22nd June) at the end of Western Terrace. It is believed that a grey Nissan 4x4 was involved in the incident. The girl, who was described as "conscious and in pain," was taken to Treliske Hospital in Truro. Falmouth could soon have a regular passenger ferry service to France if proposals go ahead. Talks have begun on both sides of the Channel to link Falmouth to St Malo in Brittany. A senior French diplomat visited the region on Wednesday to discuss the feasibility of the project.
