Falmouth could soon have a regular passenger ferry service to France if proposals go ahead.

Talks have begun on both sides of the Channel to link Falmouth to St Malo in Brittany. A senior French diplomat visited the region on Wednesday to discuss the feasibility of the project.

The owners of Falmouth Docks are backing the proposal and have reportedly travelled to the Brittany region to discuss the plans.

According to reports, the ferry link is still in the early stages and both sides are looking into the financial viability of the project.

What do you think? Would you use a ferry service to France? Will it boost the local economy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
